TED: Listening Practice, Richard St. John’s 8 secrets of success

A short listening practice (3.5 minutes only) based on TED presentation. If you read transcripts afterwards, you can also build up your vocabulary. Such listening practice may be especially useful if you prepare for international examinations.

Level of difficulty: simple

Instructions how to practice the most efficient way:

1. Click on the button “Start quiz” below the video, read the questions and check the unknown words. Try to remember the questions.
2. Watch the presentation WITHOUT subtitles and answer the questions as you listen.
3. Finish the quiz and check your answers by clicking “View questions” button.
4. Read the transcript at TED website (follow the link and then click on “Show transcript” and select English), copying unknown words and phrases to your vocabulary list.
